Lortab is a medication of the analgesic type. It is used to relieve moderate-to severe pain. It is called by the brand name Vicodin in some areas because of the addition of acetaminophen. By effectively combining hydrocodone with acetaminophen, Lortab pills form an even stronger painkiller.
